Bakery Cafe Manager

Job Summary

A bakery café in Brackenfell is seeking an experienced and hands-on Bakery Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. The ideal candidate will have experience in a café, coffee shop or restaurant environment, with strong staff management skills, excellent customer service and the ability to manage stock, staff schedules and daily operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bakery café.
• Manage staff effectively while maintaining professional boundaries and accountability.
• Ensure excellent front-of-house service and create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Manage stock control and conduct daily, weekly and monthly stocktaking.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensure regular deep cleaning is completed.
• Assist with cooking and/or baking duties when required to cover staff absences.
• Organise staff rosters, ensure timesheets are completed accurately and manage staff lunch breaks appropriately.
• Represent the business professionally and engage positively with customers.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a café, coffee shop or restaurant environment.
• Proven ability to manage and supervise staff effectively.
• Excellent front-of-house and customer service skills.
• Experience in stock control and regular stocktaking.
• Strong organisational skills, including staff rostering and timesheet management.
• Cooking and/or baking experience.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
