Quantity Surveyor – Construction Industry

Job Summary

A leading construction company is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Centurion. This opportunity is suited to a commercially astute professional with strong construction industry experience and proven proficiency in Candy CCS.

The successful candidate will support the commercial and financial management of construction projects and must be available to start immediately.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for construction projects.
• Manage project costs from inception through to final account.
• Prepare and assess tender documentation, quotations, and subcontractor packages.
• Monitor expenditure, valuations, variations, and cost forecasts.
• Prepare interim payment certificates and support the finalisation of accounts.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular cost reports.
• Use Candy CCS effectively for estimating, planning, and cost control.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong proficiency in Candy CCS – essential.
• Solid knowledge of construction costing, estimating, tendering, and contract administration.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Based in or able to work in Centurion.
• Available to start immediately.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor who can confidently manage project costs and commercial requirements. Advanced working knowledge of Candy CCS, sound construction-sector experience, and immediate availability are essential.
