Senior Site Agent – Civil Construction

Job Summary

RPO Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Site Agent to join a well-established company within the civil construction sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing civil construction projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, to specification and within programme requirements.

Requirements

• Must be based locally in Johannesburg .
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Minimum BSc, BTech or National Diploma in Civil Engineering .
• Professional registration with ECSA or SACPCMP as one of the following:
• Pr Eng
• Pr Tech Eng
• Pr CM
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in civil construction .
• Proven experience in:
• Road construction
• Stormwater drainage
• Sewer reticulation
• Water reticulation
• Bulk earthworks
• Strong working knowledge of BuildSmart and CCS is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee civil construction activities on site.
• Ensure projects are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, programmes and quality requirements.
• Coordinate site teams, subcontractors and other project stakeholders.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure work remains on schedule.
• Oversee roads, stormwater, sewer and water reticulation, and bulk earthworks activities.
• Manage resources, materials, plant and labour requirements.
• Monitor project costs and assist with effective commercial control.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues on site.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure that quality standards and project specifications are consistently maintained.
